Brief Description: Install right side canopy latch
Got a late start on working on airplane today so all I had time to do was install the right side canopy latch. This went well since I had already installed the left side and knew what needed to be done. After latch was installed, I began work on connecting canopy rod to the two latches. This should go fairly quick since all that needs to be done is to set rod and latches in proper position and attach steel arms. Unfortunately, the arms I have are predrilled which is usually a good thing but not in this case. Since the only adjustment you have to make all the parts work together is by length of the steel arms and if the holes dont line up whats a builder to do????!!!! Oh well, both of mine are about a half of a hole off so since I have some scrap steel pllate laying around somewhere, I iwill just make my own and that way I can put the holes where they need to be for everything to fit and the canopy to securely latch. Sounds like a good project for tomorrow.
