Brief Description: Nose Gear drilled and assembled
My task for today was to get nose gear axle hole drilled and nose gear assembled. I measured the axle location many time and as many ways as I could to ensure it was exactly in the correct place. I then used a center punch to mark the center for drilling. I started with a very small bit and finished drilling the 3/4" hole with my step bit. I was very concerned about the holes lining up but luck was on my side and everything came out just right!!! I put all the bolts and nuts on and torqued them to the proper setting. Folowed by marking them with torque seal. I laid out the wheel with the bearings, grease and axle parts for what I will start with tomorrow.
