Brief Description: Bottom skins drilled to final size
Got friend from work to come by and assist with turninng wing over to work on bottom skins. Drilled out nose skin to A4 and rear skin to A5. Also had time to install pitot/static tubes in bottom rear skin. Note that I insstalled this O/B of rib #7 instead of rib #5. I did thiis so I could use the inspection port for the aileron bellcrank for the pitot/static tube as well. It seems like a good idea. Order 4-3/8" aluminum weldelets ( 2 for each fuel tank) so I can get these welded on my tanks. I have decided to use the Belite fuel probe wihch will screw in on the bottom inboard side of the tank and I also need a fuel return line which I have decided to put on the inboard side of the tanik as well. As a backup for fuel level, I will install the float probe that cam with the kit, but I intend to mount it on top of the tank.
