Began wiring up the ECU power switch. ECU power comes directly from the battery and not through the breakered power panel most of my electronics will use. The power connection to the ECU is in 2 prefabricated cables that run from the cannon plug of the "small" ECU wire bundle: a 4-wire cable and a 2-wire cable. The installation instructions say to "Put all 6 wires together to a switch, install a fuse 20A and use a wire from minimum 2.5mm2 (14AWG)." Instead, I purchased a 20A circuit breaker toggle switch which I will install next to the ignition switch.
This morning's progess consisted of combining all 6 ECU wires into 3 ring terminals which I then connected to the "Load" side of the breakered switch. Next up: Attaching the switch to the center console.
