During landing rollout last week, the tailpipe from my muffler separated from the airplane (I hope that's not a condemnation of my landing!). Upon inspection, it appears the muffler had developed a crack along the weld for the tailpipe support and finally split enough for the tailpipe to fall off. Turns out this is not an uncommon problem with the early ULPower mufflers. FWIW, the crack was subtle enough that it was missed (or didn't exist) during my annual inspection last October.
Replacement was straightforward: Remove the old muffler from the manifolds and replace it with a new muffler ordered from Wicks.
