Next, I decided to run the strobe and nav wiring back to the rudder. I had to remove the rudder and ponder where to put the hole through for the wires. I ended up drilling it as close to the tiedown bolt as I could. Vans recommended as close to the center of the plane as I could get. Well, I didn't want to drill through the eye bolt mount.
I installed the rudder to make sure I was at the correct height and drilled. I ended up running all the wires through the wire mesh wrap. It should keep the wires from rubbing through.
