The last major work on the panel is the glove box. I cut the hole in the panel months ago, now I have to cut the door. I decided to hinge it from the top. The glove box in both Cessnas I’ve had pop open every once in a while during flight. If this happens in the RV, I’m afraid it might interfere with the control stick. (And more importantly, it might interfere with the sup holder:-)
The job was pretty simple but took way more time than I thought it would. Again, I cut the door out a bit big and filed to work my way up to a nice fit. The top hinge is attached to the panel with screws. There is no way to remove the hinge pin because of the way I installed the hinge to allow a full swing.
