Brief Description:  Forward canopy supports

I dove into work on the supports for the forward canopy this evening. I had test fit them a few months ago but didn't actually drill them to the skin. Today was the day!

I have been thinking through this process for a few days. My first step was to cleco everthing together and get an exact measurement to keep the frame square when working on it while it is off the fuselage.

Next, I used to large 90 degree angle pieces clamped to the table the EXACT width of the canopy where the frame fits on the fuselage. Next, I leveled the front and clamped it to the angles. Next, I checked and leveled the back of the frame. I ended up using a bag of sand to keep it level.

With everything level and square, I attached all the stiffeners (supports) and drilled the entire assembly together. I used the handy dandy rivet spacing tool to line the holes up that had no pilot hole.

Although it took a while, I am please with how everything turned out.
