Another afternoon of inserting and removing clecos.
I drilled the splice plate to size and also drilled the hinge brackets to the frame. Took everything apart and deburred. Then clecoed everything back together and checked the fit again. (There is a bit of a bulge in the skin where the canopy frame starts to curve. I took the skin off and filed the flanges to 90 degrees. While I had the skin off, Cormac helped me bend the edges of the skin. The frame has a goofy shape near the edges that is a sharp bend. I have seen where others have actually bent the skin to fit the bend.
When I attached the skin it fits much better.
I ended the afternoon by taking the skin back off and squeezing the rivets in the splice plate and hinge bracket tabs.
