I worked on the canopy release mechanism this evening. I worked with the fitting to make sure it was working smoothly. (A bunch of tinkering.) The handle is going to work perfectly. When the canopy is locked, the handle will be completely inside the sub panel area held in place by a clamp. When I want to remove the canopy, I'll remove the clamp and swing the handle out. By pushing in, the pins are pulled and the canopy will release.
It ended up working just like I hoped it would. I finished up the evening priming the parts.
