I finished up the manual aileron trim install this evening. (Well... as much as I could until the control stick is in.)
- Drilled 1/2 hole larger with step-drill (in floor and bracket) - Drilled 1/16 inch hole in wd-756 for cotter pin (Installed washer) - Bent arm to specs - Dimpled for countersunk screws - Squeezed rivets on nutplates - Drilled out rivets in floor ribs (Unit fits under them) - Drilled and countersunk holes back from forward holes - for attachment - Dimpled floor ribs. - Drilled hole through handle and trim weldment (Used drill bit but ended up being a headache.) - Installed unit in floor - Tested floor fit.
It looks like its going to work great. There isn't much room between the handle and the channel tunnel. (About 1/4 inch)
