Another GREAT evening. I got very little actual work done but I learned a TON.
Cory, Cormac's son is here from Colorado. He is an A&P with an amazing amount of knowledge. He is doing the annual on the Cessna 150 which is housed in the same hangar. As he was walking by the wings, he noticed a few rivets that needed to be re-squeezed.
Actually - 2 rivets that hadn't been squeezed at all and 6 blind ivets that were the wrong length. I drilled them out and we actually replaced them with regular rivets.
Cory was one of my fifth grade students a zillion years ago. Today he repaid me by SCHOOLING me in riveting 101. I spent another 1 1/2 hours asking him oodles of questions of different aspects of the build I have been confused about. It was a wonderful evening.
