Brief Description:  Trim Tab and Wings

I spent the morning going step by step through the assembly of the wing. I am sooooo glad I purchased the 'quick build' kit. I worked through 7 pages of instructions before I came to the first item I needed to complete.

The T-708 access plate needs the fuel level senders attached and the fuel pick-up tube. I test fitted both on the access plates and found out I am missing one of the floats. (When I inventoried the parts, I never looked inside the box.)

Dad showed up at about 2:00. I had him debur the trim tab parts. When he finished, we dimpled, countersunk, and riveted the parts in place. The trim tab is now ready for glueing the foam wedges in place. (I'm going to wait and glue the rudder, elevators, and trim tab at the same time.)

After finishing the trim tab, I focused back on the wing. On page 7-10 of the instructions is a one sentence description of installing the aileron brackets. Again, I'm amazed at how little detail is in the instructions. It takes VERY careful examination of the drawings to get this little devils figured out. (I had my dad spend 30 minutes searching the boxes for the control stop... only to find that it needs to be fabricated. I worked on fabricating the pesky little devils this evening.

Cormac stopped by for a bit. I asked if he would build the aileron and flap alignment tool.
