This evening I spent a good chunk of time installing the rudder. I wanted to make sure everything was lined up JUST RIGHT.
After installing it, I wanted to check the swing. The instructions say the swing should be 35 degrees... and it didn't look like there was enough. Instructions said to measure from the qoutboard edge of the elevator sking to the rudder skin trailing edge. (It should be 48 1/8 inch) So, I installed the elevators again. As soon as I installed them it was evident there was enough swing. The rudder would go right up against the elevators. I measured and sure enough I had plenty of swing. If you ever gave it full rudder, the plane would turn on a dime.
