Finally, I checked the distance from the front of the fuselage to the same part on the horizontal stabilizer. I measured from:
The inlet for the air (cutout) to each stab tip - within1/32 The air inlet to the outboard most rivet on the front spar - within 1/16 Front of firewall to wing tip - within 1/16 Front of firewall to outboard most rivet on the back spar - within 1/32
I used the air inlet and the firewall because I could hook the tape and stretch it out if I was careful
