Another very productive day. It's great when the work you do actually shows up. (Vs... drilling, dimpling, and deburring.)
Started the afternoon putting the blind rivets attaching the skin to spar on both elevators. (Boy, if you had many of these blind rivets to do... it would pay to get a hydrolic tool.) Then, we headed down the ribs with flush head rivets. We were able to 'squeeze' them all.
We tested out the drill guide Ken had built for us to drill the correct angle in the trailing edge. It works fabulous... but I drill one hole in the wrong spot. DANG! The day was going smoothly, but evening... we should have quit working. One minute of not paying close attention and you have a goof up. I'm going to wait and talk to Cormac or Ken to see what would be the best action. Re-drill it... or leave it.
