I temporarily installed the GPS antenna using the bracket I made. I removed it and put shrink tubing on the wires.
AGH! I'm not sure this is a good location for it. It needs to be 3 feet from the antenna so I wanted it as far forward as possible. But, it looks like it isn't going to get a complete view of the sky. (The channel for the roll bar is in the way.
I removed it and temporarily connected it with butt connectors. It is raining now, but tomorrow... or when it clears, I'm going to roll the plane out and try the GPS antenna in a number of places to see where it gets the best reception.
According to Dynon, the accuracy of EVERYTHING is dependent on the antenna having good reception from as many satellites as possible.
