After some research, I decided to install the OAT sensor. I ended up putting it under the right horizonal stabilizer. (For the research I did, this seems to be the most common location.) I ran the wires along the the bundle that goes back to the lights on the rudder.
The wires are to long and the directions say to cut them in the middle of the run and splice them with a butt connector. This seems odd... but I guess they want you to use the fittings they have already installed on the ends of the wire.
