For almost 3 hours this morning, I sanded away on the cowling to get the fit better where the cowling meets the fuselage. I ended up sanding away about 1/16 of an inch on one side and about 3/32 on the other.
I would sand, put the cowling on and check the fit, then take it off and sand some more. I probably repeated this step 200 times.
But, no the cowling is fitting GREAT!
The holes had to be re-drilled where the supports are. But, the camlocs will cover the difference.
