Brief Description:  Step 98 Install the steering cables

-installed rudder temporarily with appropriate hardware-constructed jack stand below tail wheel to simulate aircraft weight on wheels-added approx. 30 lbs to tail to simulate weight of stabilizer and elevator-used a flexible straight edge to mark lines on tail cone sides in line with rudder horn bushings and tail wheel steering arm holes-used a plumb bob to find tail cone contact points below straight edge for cable hole locations-used plumb bob to locate cable exit holes on bulkhead D (close proximity of stabilizer mounting brackets taken into consideration when marking hole locations)-drilled #10 pilot holes at marked locations and used length of new, 3/32” piano wire to check alignment of drilled holes-holes adjusted and enlarged to accept sections of ¼” nylon tubing fairleads-cut nylon fairleads -3/4’ long for bulkhead D and 1 3/4” for tail cone exit holes-sanded outside of tubes and installed with resin / mill fiber mixture-installed cables and hardware as per instructions
