Brief Description: Pitot mast

-finished sizing the hole in the left lower wing skin for the mast; involved incremental enlargement of the hole with hand files to achieve a perfect fit for the mast-executed option step 5: cutting the pitot mast to final length-executed option step 7; fabrication of pitot mast mounting angles. Observed fabrication details indicated in Fig 5, cut pieces of the ½ x ½ x 0.063 material to size, finished all edges and corners, marked each angle for rivet holes as specified, pilot drilled the eight rivet holes, final sized each rivet hole to accept a 1/8”diameter rivet, de-burred all holes-executed option step 8, corrosion proofed mounting angles and the upper ½” of the mast -executed option step 9, riveting the mounting angles to the mast. Includes; setting alignment marks to achieve parallel positioning of the mounting angles to the top of the mast and even positioning of the mounting angles with respect to each other, match-drilling rivet attach holes from the mounting angles to the mast (maintaining the two previous specified conditions), de-burring rivet holes in the mast, riveting the mounting angles to the mast with solid rivets AN470AD4-4.5; involved bucking rivets inside a very confined space
