Couldn't get goopy because of the July 4 party. Cut the small 4' aileron pushrod tube in half then trimmed to 23-1/8". Deburred and squared the ends on the disk sander. Stuffed the ends with scotch-brite and grabbed the end hanging out in the cordless drill chuck. Spun the scotch brite to clear out the powder coating that had gotten inside the two original ends. Scotch-brited the rod-end bearing inserts until I got a smooth fit.
Made a block to cradle the tubing by drilling a 1/2" hole thru the wide span of a 2x4 block, then cut it in half to make two blocks with a "half-pipe" in each block's face.
