Brief Description: Rivet left wing skeleton; start left LE
Riveted left wing skeleton together.
The factory heads got smileyed on a few occaisions, but not so bad that it was worth drilling out, possibly distorting the holes. One rib-to-main spar head smileyed to death--to the point where the factory head split! Carefully drilled it out from the back (starting with 1/16", then #40, then #30 drill). Replaced with an LP4-4 pull rivet since the rest of the ribs were on and access was tight.
I had gotten a little sloppy with the bucking bar on the main spar. Buffed out some dings with Scotch-brite wheel in the die grinder, wiped down w/MEK, then spot-primed. Match-drilled the holes for the outboard aileron bracket to the outboard rib.
Sanded/scotchbrited the left wing LE skin insides where the rib fitting process had scratched the skin deeply enough to catch a fingernail. MEK wipe and spot primed these places. Clecoed the left LE to the left nose ribs, squoze the first three aft rows or rivets, top and bottom.
