Brief Description:  Rivet shaving on the main spar!

Wow...ordered a 1/4-28 threaded rivet shaving bit from The Yard Store late Friday night, 6/15. It was packed on Saturday and shipped USPS--arrived today!

Shaved the proud rivet heads on both the left and right spars with this puppy. The microstop cage has to be screwed back so far that it doesn't click anymore. But the lock nut still lock things down so the end of the shaver is pretty close to dead flush with the foot of the microstop. Just barely removed a bit of the anodizing in the neighborhood due to a bit of slop in the csnk cage--surface feels completely smooth to a fingernail.

I could not shave the top- and bottom-most rivets because the microstop foot ran afoul of the stepped bars on the front of the spar web. Will figure something out.

In the meantime, wiped areas with MEK and spot-primed (Image 1).

The other two pictures (try) to show other spot-priming along the left spar where the bucking bar grazed the anodizing during assembly of the left wing skeleton, as was mentioned in the 6/18/07 entry.
