Brief Description:  Initial engine runs/prop set up/Carby ballancing

Engine oil system pressurized and primed IAW Rotax maintenance procedures.Initial ground run carried out,a short run followed by shut down and leak check carried out..no defects.A couple of small problems how ever with the air diverters and engine oil pressure indication. The air diverter was coming adrift from the carby,I called Rans who had also encountered this same problem, there fix was to remove the diverter from the carby, clean up the flange and apply a small amount of high temp silicon to the flange, reinstall the diverter and install lockwire between the diverter and caby.I also lockwire from the bottom of the diverter also. The problem has now been alleviated. The second issue was a incorrect pressure transducer which I replaced, also with this was a small admount of corrosion on the instrument plug pins,a left over from the flux residue left over from when I soldered the pins into the plug assemblies. All rectified and now all indications are normal.Carby ballance carried out with a Carb Mate callibration tool and slight adjustment required to bring both carbs into sync.Runs conducted IAW the Airmaster Prop manual to check the pitch limits and governing of the prop, small adjustment required to acheive full static RPM 5700 RPM to the fine pitch adjustment.A five minute full power run carried out with no further defects and all systems operating within prescibed engine and propeller specs.Final leak and security check carried out and all good.
