Brief Description: Cleco skin to horizontal stabilizer and begin rive
I felt real good at this point today when I got to rivet a bunch of holes to attache the top side of the skins to the horizontal stabilizer. OOPS thugh! When I tried to cleco the two AST hinge halves on the trailing edge I notice that 2 rivet holes(which I match drilled earlier) don't line up right. So now I feel pretty bad. Good.....Bad. Hot....Cold. I don't want to order new hinges so must call Van's Aircraft and ask if there is a work around for this. Hard to see from the picture but the match drill holes are where the end of the ribs get riveted. It almost makes me want to quit but OH YEH! I am having a ball building this thing.
The verticle stabilizer at the left side is actually screwed into my work table to resist the wind.
Mis-aligned hole(2 on each hinge) at end of the ribs.
