Brief Description: Started to asemble the skeleton of the tail cone.
No image of this mistake but I will explain. I called my brother today and while talking and working on the kit, I missed the callout on the correct rivet to use on the bulkhead. So I used the one that I wanted to use. Then 15 minutes later after I hung up the phone, I examined what I was sure I would be proud of and then said a few words that should make me go to church and proceeded to remove the 18 pop rivets that should have been solid rivets. I guess I do know how to remove rivets now. Confession.....I was not really mad that I did it. It only took a few minutes to remove the evidence. Now on to the next step.(actually should have been the first step but I need Holly to help me). I need to break the edges on the tailcone skins. A lot can go wrong here but I have been practicing on some scrap and there have been a couple of great advice notes given on VansAirforce forum. Great place to stay in touch with fellow builders.
