Brief Description:  Disaster may have befallen this project!

I completed the riveting all but the rear spar on the right HS, riveted in the nose ribs on the right and the selected main right HS ribs to the fowrard spar. At that point I noticed white pitting on the main ribs I was riveting to the spar. Further inspection found the same with all the main ribs that I had riveted into the right HS and on portions of the rear spar. It looiks very much like extensive pitting corrosion from sources identifiable, perhaps something to do with the anticorrosion treatment I choose to use, Sanchem CC 6100. A builder who is successfully used the treatement and from whose web site I got the idea, doesn't suspect it as the cause. I cannot identify anything in my shop (garage) that would cause it. Aluminum material, alcad and otherwised, stored in the same area as the ribs show no signs of the problem. The pitting occured over the last two weeks or so after applying the Sanchem. I am fearful that the whole HS structure will have to be scrapped. For readers interested, I listed and priced all the parts to rebuild - around $450 sans shipping. I will talk with Sanchem and Van's tomorrow. It doesn't look good.Input from other on this issue would be appreciated.
