Today I focused on getting the weld bungs attached to the tanks. I used a hole saw to drill the rough hole opening. I then used a file to get the hole to provide a snug fit for the weld bung. This was the most critical phase of the welding since any blow throws would require scrapping the entire tube. They are located 13 inches from the end of the tube. I welded these weld bungs upside down so that they are recessed and also to provide more threads for the fill cap to grap onto. Everything worked out perfectly. Additionally, I prepared another 2 bulk head rings for welding tomorrow.
