While installing the magnetometer I discovered that there were already 2 aluminum plugs attached to the spar with a hole drilled vertically into the block. I decided to use the 5/16" diameter nose gear spring steel landing gear found on most radio conrol aircraft. An ellegant and cost effective solution. A flat was filed into each gear. Also, both blocks were removed and an additional hole was drilled and tapped (#6 size) for a set screw. After sliding the gear in the set screw had some loctite applied to the threads. The right wing required a counter weight to keep the wings level. The mass (in grams) was marked on the weight. The wing tips were installed, about 20 low profile screws on each wing tip, with lots of friction to penetrate the nut plates. Installing one wing tip required about 30 minutes.
