The engine mount is fixed and therefore does not retract into the fuselage. Both the Monerai S and Monerai P utilize the same welded structural engine mount that provides additional structure between the tail boom and the cage. This allows a Monerai S to be quickly converted to a Monerai P model. The inner diameter is 1.5", therefore I used 1/8" wall thickness by 1.5" diameter aluminum tubing. A lathe is required to turn it down by a few thousandths of an inch so that it can fit. I am using the 90 degree mounting straps for the H90 turbojet engine. Therefore the cradle consists of (3) 90 degree aluminum L channels riveted to separate 1/8" thick aluminum plates.
