Tonight I measured and cut some 1/2" 4130 tube for the new seat. I cannot use the hammock design due to the new control stick. I also don't think the hammock and a seat belt are a very good combination. The seat will be made out of 1/2" plywood and will mount to the seat rails using (4) 3/16" bolts. This will make it easier to climb in and out of the glider and also give me more head room since I can get my bum lower to the ground. These get welded to the frame after the ends get shaped to interface with the existing truss. The rails are 14.5" in length.
