This small project I've been meaning to do since I took ownership of the glider. The poor design of this cable guide resulted in the cables cutting into the MDF and ultimately rubbing on the wheel housing. This evening I drilled out the four rivets holding the MDF in place. The new pulley bearing system will be riveted to the aft wheel well section. I used 4 circlips and placed 4 grooves on the 3/16" shaft using the mini-lathe. The MDF weighed 50 grams and the new system weighs 100 grams. I still need to inspect some of the pushrod bearings to see if they need cleaning and relubricating like the ones on the wing required.
