I begin disassembling the frame to countersink the holes, starting from the rear working forward. I used a wet scotchbrite pad to scour the surface to remove 9 years worth of dust and oxidation. I then cleaned with soap and water then let dry. I fashioned a paint booth out of the unfinished powder room beneath the steps in the basement using red rosin paper. I used some binder clips to hang up to 4 parts at a time for painting using Duplicolor etch and primer in one. A paint mask is a must. It's -8C (18F), so painting inside with some airflow is important. I decided to just prime everything instead of just the mating surfaces. Next up is the riveting.
