Work continued on the propeller spinner today. A special fixture was made to guide a fine Sharpie pen at a fixed distance behind the spinner rear bulkhead flange, to mark the spinner for trimming its rear edge. After marking, the rear edge was carefully belt sanded to make the rear edge perpendicular to the spinner axis. A sheet of 120 grit sandpaper was laid flat on a known flat surface, and the spinner edge was sanded to even out the minor undulations left by the sanding belt.
Work also began on mounting the previously cut fillers and their supports to the openings for the prop blades. This is a little fussier than I had expected, but it is moving along.
