Today the door was removed from the vacuum bag, and the peel ply and polyester batting removed. The door is significantly stiffer, but I should have used a little more weight to form the bow in the bottom edge. With everything clecoed in place, the lower forward corner is off the backer plate about 1/16”. Some brute force persuasion will be applied overnight to convince the corner to lay down.
The opening for the Hartwell latch was cut with a scroll saw then sanded to the final shape.
