Brief Description:  Trim tab hinge

Wahaayyyy!!!!! I actually got to do something!! Man, I can't wait for my wings to arrive... Drilled the one remaining (knackered) hole in the elevtor trim tab hinge to #30 and went in with a NAS1097AD4-4 Oops Rivet which turned up from Vans today. I've lent my pneumatic squeezer to a local builder while I wait for my wings so I had to use the hand-squeezer for this one; boy am I glad I don't have to do that for *every* rivet like my local colleague!! So that is that done. Then I removed one of the rod-end bearings (same elevator) and re-fitted it with the jam nut (also received today; was one short in the empennage kit), torqued up as required for a 3/8" thread (160 in-lb). Tight squeeze in there, but the crow foot wrench I bought worked a treat. Re-fitted the trim tab. Elevators and rudder now completely done so can be placed into storage. You can tell I'm bored; look how much crap I've managed to write just for one rivet and one jam nut!! :-)
