Final drilled and riveted the top fibreglass tip in place. Had to re-glue part of the aluminium backing strip and shorten a couple of CSK4-4 rivets to fit right in at the bend. Its all done now though. It will need quite a reasonable amount of filling and 'making good' when the time comes to paint. I have decided to leave the bottom of the rudder until a) the lights are here (ordered with the wings) and b) I actually need to, which will probably be when assembling the tail to the fuselage and testing all the lights. Quite some time away then. Fitted the vertical stabilizer tip with 3/32" clecos. Fabricated and primed aluminium backing strips and bonded in place. Tomorrow will final drill and countersink/dimple. The vertical and horizontal stabilizer tips won't get fitted until next week as I'm waiting for some high density foam to come in to make the little riblets from, which will be glassed in place permanently. Might make a start on cleaning up the workshop and getting the wing jig ready. Oh, I watched the Orndorrf wing DVD tonight; boy am I glad Evan is doing the tanks; I'm not too sure I'd have enjoyed tackling that much proseal, even on a good day!! :-)
