The trouble with major mods like the Tom Clark fastback is that it takes as long to work out how to do something as it does to actually do it! I probably spent close to two hours in the shop tonight but realistically only achieved one thing and that accounted for an hour of labour. Having said that, I'm happy enough to get it done, and I can move onwards.
The job, you ask? Simply this: fitting the F-807 bulkhead stiffener. It took me some time to decide how to rivet it on (pattern, spacing, etc), whether to use a nyloc nut & washer or a nutplate, and also to make the little aluminium spacer tube.
Still its done, and next time I can measure and place the canopy side rails, then fit the canopy fram and butcher the back end of it ready for the mods. Now, where's that angle grinder...
