Brief Description: Instrument panel access door mod
Started on the instrument access panel mod to the forward baggage bay bulkhead. So far I have the lower hinge half drilled and cleco'd to the existing #30 holes used to rivet the bulkhead(s) to the F-802N cross brace. There's an .025" shim under the hinge to bring it to close to the same height as the access panel door when finally assembled (shim + the other bulkhead lower which is also .025"). I also have the upper hinge half drilled and cleco'd to the actual door, made from .040" (left over from the second attempt at the Tom Clark fastback top skin!). Next time out I shall cut the hole in the bulkhead and finish shaping the door. Then I'll make an .040" doubler to go around the hole and drill for nutplates.
