Brief Description:  Rudder cable exit fairings / cable brackets

Tonight I riveted the little angle brackets I had made to the bulkheads where I was planning to run cables for the ELT aerial, tail NAV/strobe light and elevator electrim trim. Most of the cables go through the bulkhead lightening holes, but the ELT cable goes around the bulkhead (the top bracket in the first picture) in the hope that it remains intact during a crash. Hopefully I'll never find out!

The second picture shows the rudder cable exit guide tube clamped inside the rear fuselage just as it exits the side skin. The plastic tube actually goes through the slot in the side skin and ends just about level with the rudder cable exit fairing. The cable exit fairings are not part of the standard kit and were bought from Avery Tools. I cut them to the shape shown in the third picture to miss the screw hole which is pre-punched in the side skin for the adel clamp that holds the guide tube. The lower two rivets pickup the same holes that were pre-punched through the two side skins and the lower longeron. You can just see where the rubber cable guide tube just stops level with the exit.
