Brief Description:  Throttle quadrant

My Reservoir Dog from Alex Peterson arrived today. No that that is important, as such; just thought I'd mention it! This evening I tidied the workshop, which I hadn't done in a while and then continued to work on the throttle quadrant assembly. The bulk of the work was in marking and then drilling the three 1/2" holes in the cable anchor, since I had to clamp the anchor carefully in/on the drill press to drill a good 1/2" drill. With careful alignment of the 5/32" pilot hole, clamping, slow speed, slow feed and a new drill bit the holes came out in the right place and true. And that, as they say, is a good 'un! Next I deburred the remaining throttle quadrant bits; the bracket and cover. Cleco'd and clamped the cable anchor and drilled the #30 mounting holes, only to discover that I didn't, in fact, have an 8-32 tap, I had a 6-32 one. Great. It isn't easy to get these taps in NZ but I might get lucky; some local tool houses can get them and might have one. I'll check around tomorrow. I'd like to get all these seat ramp, consoles & mid-cabin covers primered tomorrow evening after work so they can be setting up over the weekend while I'm skydiving.
