Brief Description:  Rear Seat Throttle

Vans came back and said there was no data as to whether opening the holes to encompass one of the rivet holes on each of the two center section bulkheads would be a structural issue. They did not say either way whether I should proceed. Very useful. Anyway, given that the covers are only held on with pop rivets, and I didn't get a resounding "No don't do it" and also that, really, I have no choice, I pushed ahead (carefully).

I didn't want to take off more material than absolutely necessary so it was a case of more of the assemble, mark, disassemble, file out, re-assemble routine. Anyway, I now have it pretty darn close. The pushrod just about touches in a couple of places and another 1/16" will do it. I've disassembled everything (again) and tomorrow will do the final 1/16" and also work out how to remove the same from the cover plate (pen through the hole, I'm thinking at this stage. Next time the throttles go back in, hopefully it will be for the final time (ha!).

I still have no idea why I'm having this issue and I haven't seem others; after all the new fuselage kit is pre-punched and there's no a lot of scope for variation. Certainly not to the extent I'm seeing here. Weird. I may have done something wrong, but I've reviewed the instructions and drawings and, if I have, then I can't see it. Go figure.
