Spent a very frustrating time this evening just getting the flap lever bearing blocks installed. I drilled as per the plans, but one of the holes in one of the blocks angled slightly. This meant that the aft AN3-17A bolt on the left side would not line up with the existing aft nutplate. Even when swapped around the blocks still wouldn't go. I then chamfered the opposit corners of the left block and turned it over; still no go, though it was closer. Finally, I found that it needed to go aft a little further and knocked off the bottom aft corner. At last; success. However, though structurally fine, I'm none too happy that the block is now, er, modified. I shall probably order a new one from Vans next time I order something else and re-make it. I know it is hidden away, but *I* know it is there and looks awful!
