Brief Description:  Cockpit fuel system

I have to say, I'm finding these fuel tubes somewhat of a challenge. There's not a lot of margin for variance. Having various different fittings is helping. Call me stupid though, but tonight I noticed something about the Andair fuel selector: the female fittings actually come out: I wondered why they were loose: I thought I had wrecked it! :-) . So *that's* what that bag of little screws was for!! DUH! This is good, because if the fitting that screws in ends up at the wrong angle, you can take of the inlet, flip it round any of four ways and screw it back in place again. Handy.

Anyway, tonight I created a clearance in the angle support for the fuel filter (engine) tube and fitted that. It's a little better than the first attempt the other day, but I know I can still do better. Nonetheless, I'm not making another: that one's a keeper. Anyway, that was all for tonight. Notice how I have cut a clearance in the angle support. Not sure it was necessary considering the angle the fittings ended up, but it does no harm. I just hope all these pipes and their flared ends are all up to spec and don't leak or break during use; it would be very awkward to have to re-make them; its hard enough now while I have good access...
