Took a while to re-organize the workshop and get the vice permanently fixed to the workbench. I've been really nervous of this step, but like with most things I've been nervous about doing so far, the reality was easier than the anticipation.
Due to other distractions, I only managed to get the F-843-L-1 lower longeron done. I was pleasantly surprised at the fit to the forward fuselage, but I did notice that there is a significant gap at the front when the pre-made bend is matched to the angle in the floor. I haven't measured it, but it looks to be at least a quarter inch, if not more. Tomorrow I'll check the plans (dwg 67) and see whether this looks right. Since these pieces were bent at the factory, there isn't much I can do about it anyway, other than perhaps to request replacements.
