Brief Description: Ordered Grove aluminium airfoil landing gear
Spoke with Gail on the phone this morning and ordered the gear legs. Having said that, they are still in production, so if Grove cannot make my Vans shipment on 29th January then we may have to cancel the order. Even though I may have to borrow a little extra money to make this order, and taking into account the interest, ordering now and getting the Vans shipment will save me around NZ $600. Not to be sneezed at. And the exchange rate is good at the moment. When I look back over the past year and run the same numbers for when the exchange rate was at its worst, I could potential save over NZ $1150 !!! Obviously if I can catch the Vans shipment it would be well worthwhile. And like I said, these savings take into account interest on a short 3 month loan so they are all the more impressive.
