Riveted the outboard rib to the spar, which I forgot to do yesterday. Drilled out the -5 rivets since they were too long (I read the rivet guage wrong), and replaced them -4s which squeezed up straight instead of keeling over. Removed the hinge from the bottom surface and cut off half the eye at the inboard end that was contacting the flap bracket. Replaced it and found that part of the flat piece was also a problem, so removed that too. Now have a real nice fit there, and when I next mix up some primer I'll throw a bit in that direction. Cleco'd the hinge back in place and then riveted it together with the bottom skin and spar. The plans call for -4 csk rivets, but I found -4.5s made for a much better head that was closer to acceptable specs, so I used those. I didn't quite get around to riveting the top skin, but I have modified my bucking bar for it. See next post...
