Brief Description: Right aileron skin & stiffeners
I finished getting the stiffeners ready for priming, while Jackie edge-finished and scotchbrighted the aft skin. I then spent the next hour (not logged) staring at that sorry excuse for a flap drawing (14A) trying unsuccessfully to visualize how the end ribs are fitted with those brackets and things. This is by far the worst drawing I have seen so far, and it doesn't help that it looks like mine may have got damp, because the ink lines and text have swelled and smudged themselves out of focus. Time to search the Internet for other builder's flaps to see if I can work out what on earth is going on. Oh yes, and the instructions claim this is the easiest control surface to build... well, we'll see won't we, but considering it isn't pre-punched and a lot of the angles and brackets aren't pre-made I'm already dubious of that claim!!
