Brief Description:  Edge-finishing & priming

It took 'all day' (with many breaks), but we only actually spent four actual 'man-hours' working. So that is what we log. Finished the deburring and edge finishing of the aileron spar and the flap brace. Then we cleaned and primered the aileron fairing, flap brace, aileron spar & reinforcing plates, inboard aileron hinge bracket(s) and the inside of the aileron counterweight tube. To do the tube I wrapped painters tape around it to cover all the holes. The when I did the first primer coat on all the parts, I tipped some excess into the tube, closed the ends off with tape and swilled it around. When I put the final primer coat onto all the bits, then I tipped the remaining mixed primer into the tube for a second coating. After swilling that around a bit, I removed all the tape and left it standing on end on a piece of wood to drain. When we primer the rest of the aileron bits, including the outboard hinge bracket replacement from Vans, then I'll also primer the outside of the counterweight tube. Sweet.
